Condado de Seminole<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Este pr\u00f3ximo fin de semana, SunRail llevar\u00e1 a cabo m\u00e1s pruebas relacionadas con la implementaci\u00f3n del Control Positivo de Trenes (PTC). Los conductores y transe\u00fantes pueden esperar ver la actividad de los trenes SunRail en las v\u00edas del tren entre Sanford y el extremo norte de Winter Park. Los trenes operar\u00e1n en cualquiera de las v\u00edas en una secci\u00f3n de 17 millas. Las pruebas est\u00e1n programadas para el s\u00e1bado 6 de octubre y el domingo 7 de octubre. Se prev\u00e9 que el horario de las pruebas sea de 6 am a 6 pm ambos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las pruebas incluyen pruebas de frenos cuesta arriba y cuesta abajo a velocidades y pendientes definidas para verificar el rendimiento de frenado. El tren de pruebas de PTC tiene una configuraci\u00f3n diferente a la que el p\u00fablico suele ver en el corredor (ver adjunto). El tren de prueba consta de dos locomotoras, cuatro vagones y un vag\u00f3n-cabina para simular un tren SunRail totalmente ponderado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los datos obtenidos se programar\u00e1n en el sistema PTC, que se implementar\u00e1 en un tramo de 13 millas a finales de este a\u00f1o. Se espera la implementaci\u00f3n completa en todo el Corredor Ferroviario de Florida Central de 61.5 millas para finales de 2019. La tecnolog\u00eda inform\u00e1tica PTC evita que los trenes vayan demasiado r\u00e1pido y evita colisiones entre trenes que est\u00e1n en la misma v\u00eda. SunRail acaba de recibir una subvenci\u00f3n de casi $15 millones para la implementaci\u00f3n de PTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
