SunRail Service to be Suspended for Thursday, September 26, 2024

Orlando, Florida. – In anticipation of Hurricane Helene, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is suspending SunRail service for Thursday, September 26, 2024.

Service will restart as early as possible Friday morning, September 27, once crews have checked the rail corridor.

When storm conditions stabilize, a complete inspection of the entire railway corridor is necessary to assess the storm’s impact and remove any obstructions on the railroad tracks so service can be reinstated for SunRail, as well as freight and Amtrak operations.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Public Information Office at FDOT-D5COMM@dot.state.fl.us or by phone at (386) 956-9552.
