Winter Park, FL. – Drivers in Winter Park need to be aware of an upcoming detour for work at the Westchester Avenue railroad crossing, between Leith Avenue and Vivian Avenue, which is occurring at 9 p.m., Friday, July 24 until 4 a.m., Monday, July 27
The suggested detour for vehicles includes Orange Avenue, Leith Avenue, S. Orlando Avenue, and Vivian Avenue.
The railroad crossing will be completely closed during this time. Detour signage is planned to direct motorists to the alternate routes.
This closure is necessary to upgrade the railroad crossings, which increases safety for both motor vehicles and train traffic. Construction times and schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other circumstances.
