Sanford, Fla. – SunRail will be running test trains in the north end of the railroad corridor this weekend. As part of this activity, drivers and passersby can expect to see testing with SunRail trains this Saturday, March 23 on the railroad tracks between Sanford Station and the Longwood Station. Testing could occur on either track. The testing time will last for approximately eight hours during the day.
Train activity will also occur near the Meadow Woods area of the rail corridor on Sunday, March 24 for approximately eight hours during the day. This testing could also occur on either track.
Those in the area this weekend should note that these trains will neither transport, nor pick up passengers. The testing is related to work to enhance functionality and safety on the rail corridor.
